Hello there! My name is Jim and I enjoy learning, making, and building. I’m a native Minnesotan, born and raised in the Twin Cities.
I got my start in crafting very late in the game, but I’ve been a lifelong tinkerer. I’ve left a lot of destroyed devices in my wake because I was always interested in learning how things work. I still remember the day my Dad found the pile of walkmans I took apart as a kid.
I took a lot of woodworking and carpentry classes in high school and really enjoyed it. It also my first foray into electronics. I’ve also enjoyed writing, but have never taken the time for that although I was on my school’s literary magazine staff as a senior.
I’m finding that life is all about the journey. I’ve finally hit my groove and found my community and support. I’ve learned the hard way that you can’t always do things right the first time. Life is all about making mistakes, learning, and moving on. I started this site as a way to organize my projects and share what I’m working on with you all. If you’ve glanced at my site over the years, it’s clear that organizing is not my strong suit!
