Today's cos at CONvergence... The MacGuyver! Feel free to say hello! Happy CON! Decided to give my General Kael costume one last ride at #cvg2023 today. 10 hours in costume! My friend, Kim, busted out her Sorsha costume today also! Unfortunately, the Queen Bavmorda costume did not survive the last round (except for the crown). Yesterday was @cinema_recall The Vern's birthday and I was finally able to present him with this working Hellraiser Lament Configuration Puzzle Cube*. This is a combination SLA/FDM print of Troy Mackay's Deconstructed Puzzle Cube on Thingiverse. This project took a long time and I went through several iterations of the original puzzle core, never getting the old planetary gearbox working properly. I made a custom spring pin for this because I didn't have springs at the proper length. I included the 'hard mode' sleeve but didn't install, which is the little ring off to the side in the photos. Original design piece for my mashup project. No plans, just haphazardly built!The moon could definitely be bluer. I may play with some blue light filter options. The lightning and the moon lithophane are both lit with a simple COB LED strip. Definitely needs some chains and some touch up on the grime and weathering. Super secret mashup in progress, Codename: The War Boys of Waponi Wu. I'm sure you can make a pretty good guess. CONvergence 2022 is right around the corner and the Con Crunch is real! Certainly not panicking 😳 Yup, I'm still here! I started working again right after Thanksgiving. I had 3 months of satisfyingly listless nothingness after getting laid off at the end of July. It was nice to have the time off to reset my brain. Remember back in the day when I used to post progress photos? Well, no better time than the present to get things going again! I got laid off in July, so I've had some time work on some projects and enjoy the remainder of the summer. Out of several projects in the works, I've been working on a Tesla Gun and Farnsworth. Lots more to do! #haphazardtech #haphazardprops #warehouse13 #teslagun #farnsworth #3dprinting #adafruittrinket Finally received my #haslabunicron yesterday and this thing is massive! 30" diameter in planet mode and 27" tall in robotic mode with 50 points of articulation. I particularly enjoy the individual finger joints in the hands. This thing is amazing!
